As per their website, Marriott International has only a vision statement, which they believe to be adept, and goes like this: “To be the World's Favorite travel Company” They do not have any mission statement and do not seem to be affected by it either. I do not think that not having a mission statement would affect their reputation in any way, but having one could have made others a little clearer and probably also respectful, towards what they stand for. The vision statement that they have is very short and crisp, but honestly, I feel that being Marriott, they could have added a little more to the dimension, perhaps one that would match more accurately with their brand name.
